Got a 2 wire untailed fan. What to do with it?

I got a couple of 80mm case fans here.
I didn't know what kind of connectors it would come with becaue it didn't matter. If 3 wires, i would connect to mobo, and if 4 wires, I would connect it to the PSU, right?
Well.. #%@@@^%. It came with... no connectors. They are in fact untailed fans 🙁 . More over, they came with only 2 wires (one black one red). Not3, nor 4. But 2.

Well, if I look at the fan closely, I can see there are..umm.. 3 small metalic places where you can soldier the wires to 🙂. But only 2 wires attatched.

Great..🙁 Well, I guess i have to do without the RPM monitoring.
But how am I go about getting the necessary connectors for the fan?
Can I just get a molex conector and wire it?
I don't have a soldering tool, nor I know how to do it.
Please help...

If it was a 4pin connector it would only be two wires as well.

It uses the +12V and one of the grounds, the other ground and the +5V are unused.

So just get a Molex extension from a computer store. Then pull out one of the grounds and the +5.

Cut and Strip the +12V and the other Ground.
Then solder Red from the fan to Yellow (+12V) on the molex.
Also solder Black from the fan to the remaining Black (Ground) on the molex.

the fan only requires two pins, the other third one (on mobo headers) is used for the tachometer...(tells rpm of fan)

just use any 3 pin plastic connector that will fit onto a mobo header (i.e. the actual molex ones or the same ones used on your, say, power LED for the case)...
