Got a 15 gb 3rd gen. iPod for 359.99. Open box. Good deal?

Got it at my local Best Buy. Saw it last week but passed. But as time went on I grew more tempted. I went today hoping somebody else had snapped it but to no avail. It was still there.

Haven't opened it yet but I imagine it's still in pretty good condition. If it has ANY wear and tear (scratches, etc.) I'm going to use the 30-day return policy and give that thing back.

What sucks is that the tax was 18 bucks so althought I "saved" 40 dollars, it was still a 378 dollar bill.

I plan on selling my old (gen. 2) on fleabay. it's 5gb so i doubt ill get more than 150 for it. But I'm an ipodfanatic so I guess this was as good a deal as I was going to get.

Thoughts?
 
not really. i just sold my almost brand new ipod for $325 shipped. Where were you when I was selling that... 🙂
 
If you were a real Ferengi, you would have tried to get an additional educational discount on the open box item 😉

And yes, it's not much better than the regular educational discount.
