got $350, you decide

Tough problem, I find the good 19" monitors are all around $400. Do you have any preferences?

Flat or Curved?
Better colors or better convergence?
Do the horizontal lines bother you?
What resolution would you use?

i have 300 too.. i need it to be under 300 SHIPPED... i am building for someone the same time i am upgrading..

and Buy.com Samsung is BACKORDERED!!!!!!!

Not sure about reliability of egghead right now, but here is a Viewsonic for $239.99 + $10 shipping and here is a Samsung for $248.99 + $10 shipped. They are out of stock on a lot of things probably due to their declaration of bankruptcy, but they should still be able to ship out what they have.

Look at bensbargains.net (can't post coupon codes) for the Samsung Syncmaster 950p 19" for $195 shipped.

if u cant afford a FD trinitron monitor, then I really think u should save up. Dont make an impulsive buy.

trust me, the extra money is worth it.
I have been using sony tubes for a long time now and i could not imagine looking at another fishbowl monitor again!!
Dont get the older sony trinitron tubes, they r a little round 2, FD trinitron all the way 🙂

I would consider the KDS monitors they are cheaper than most other monitors and are actually pretty good. I would advise you to check out bensbargains though that is a great monitor for the price

Actually, the price was a guess. I'm buying it in the UK, and hardware is more expensive here. I guessed the equivalent of $350, but that may be an underestimate. I'm looking for something in price between the samsung 900nf and iiyama vm pro452

Some extra info: I want one which has a flat screen, and is ideal for playing quake and watching dvds. Not sure if I want better convergence of colours for that.
