Threatening to kill someone
can be a crime. But there is some threashhold like the prosecutor must prove that they had the means and the intent to actually carry it out. I'm sure there's an *official term* for that threashhold, I just can't think of it now.
The threat crime would usually be prosecuted under local law.
However, if it's communicated interstate (internet) it's an FBI matter.
No, I don't see how they would be interested, particular since (s)he appears to choose random people and has sent many of these PMs without ever exhibing any means or intent to actually follow through.
