Gosford Park - good movie!

anybody else see this flick? i thought it was really cool and funny

Just curious? When does it get funny? I watched the first hour of it and didn't think it was interesting ^_^

hehe... well i'd say the humor is more or less in the portrayal of the characters. for example, when that car with the director pulled up along side them and the old lady was all cold, that was the type of humor involved in most of the film.

i didn't find the movie a bit funny.

if you thought anything out of the movie was worth my laughter...
please tell me... 'cause i might've missed it.

as for my critic of the movie...
the movie had nothing.

no rising action.
no climax
no clear resolution... everything was just a simple layout.

how in the world is this movie getting nominated for the best picture?

cinematography sucked.
directing sucked.
who was the leading/supporting actor/actress... even after watching this painful movie... i still don't know.

art direction? what art? what direction?
if anything i'd say monsters inc. have much better art direction.

costume design?
what was special about their costume design?

writing? original screen play?
there was no buildup... no climax. no suspense, no mystery. no comedy.
what was so great about his writing? i can't even say that the movie had an original screen play.

i think the movie is at best a made for tv movie.
not worth your money...
not worth your time.

i give this movie 1 star.

please oscar, do film industry justice.
give due recognition to moulin rouge, beautiful mind, amalie... but not to this type of crap.
