While publicly he maintains an air of mystery when asked about his political future, former Vice President Al Gore has quietly made a decision to once again make a run for the White House, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned... MORE...

So if its a rematch between the two (Gore-Bush) who would you pick ?

i don't think the country would be better if he were in the white house right now, so i probably will refrain from voting for president if both those clowns are running again.

After Nixon lost in 1960 (also a very close and controversial election), he kept a low profile until 1968, when he came into office with a landslide victory.

Why is Gore being such a fool? I think he could still make a comeback in American politics, but that comeback will not happen in 2004. Also, who wants to run against a guy as enormously popular as George W. Bush? It's political suicide.

Good, the sooner he's out of the way the better. How ever, if the economy is still in the dumper and if the war on terror goes awry, then Bush might be history.

True Red. Happen to Daddy Bush. Question is who WOULD make a good contender in 2004? Hillary is too smart to run now unless she smells blood, and although I could be wrong, Gore does not seem like a viable canidate at this time.

In other words, if things are going good for Bush, who could be expected to beat him?

Showing how really stupid the American public can be. Nixon was a known liar and general bad guy for years before he ran for president. In 1950, he slandered Helen Gahagan Douglass whom he bashed as a communist ("pink right down to her underwear") when running for the Senate, and he worked as an investigator for the infamous Joseph McCarthy.

When he ran for governor of California and he lost, I personally saw him on TV as he stepped out of that elevator and said, "You won't have Nixon to kick around, anymore." Then he gave us Nixon to kick around some more... but not hard enough. :disgust: Nixon was a full fledged asshole. After Watergate, he should have spent the rest of his miserable life in prison. :| :| :|

And if you're thinking of asking, yes, that IS how I really feel.

I doubt that he'll get it. After the economic prosperity that the US enjoyed with Clinton in office (I'm not saying Clinton was responsible for it!), Al Gore couldn't distant himself from Bush in the last election. It should never have come down to the mess that happened in Florida, the Democratic nominee should have won easily. I don't think the dems would nominate the uncharismatic Gore to fail again.

Yeah, but I don't think anybody else wants to run (except Al Sharpton, hehe). All talk of big Democratic leaders wanting to become President usually involves the word "2008".

I think you would have your hands full trying to figure out who to vote for in this poor crop of politicians we have right here in MA, Baff.

Dangit, I was about to post this.

"Tipper's onboard. She is behind the decision 100%. Clearly the party is ready, and will rally behind him. It owes him," said the source, who recently spent an evening with the former candidate. "It even rhymes, 'GORE IN '04!'"

Joy.

Yeah this will be successful. algore the fool is wasting his time once again. Chances are better that I give myself an anal probe than he will win the DNC nomination (Daschle likely will)- that organization is trying to forget about him because he's an embarassment. To society.

I'd like to see Bush win again in '04 or Cheney- both are great presidential material.

Why would Daschle give up real power, to run in an election he would almost certainly lose?

Bush will be out in 2004! His whole elite circle are previous top military people, they have no idea how to run an economy. With the economy in the toilet, people are not going to vote for him again. Also his environmental policy favors big business, and really doesn't leave any room for compromise.

What makes them so great? Because they are better than the Democratic Candidates? That doesn't make either of them great, just the lesser of all the evils.
