What a letdown. I should have read the whole topic instead of just the first three words ...

<< Gore spanks GW ... >>

quote:

Bush: "Because the picture on the newspaper. It just seems so un-American to me, the picture of the guy storming the house with a scared little boy there. I talked to my little brother, Jeb--I haven't told this to many people. But he's the governor of--I shouldn't call him my little brother--my brother, Jeb, the great governor of Texas."

Jim Lehrer: "Florida."

Bush: "Florida. The state of the Florida."

what does it matter what the polls say? should we vote for someone just cause they're winning in the polls so far? "Uh oh, Gore is leading in the polls. Better vote for him, I don't want to vote for someone that's going to lose." just place your own damn vote and then forget about it.

I have a feeling that Newsweek is pulling these numbers right out of their @ss. Most other polls - by legitimate, non-biased organizations I might add - show that Gore and Bush are tied pretty close.

Put your polls where your mouth is.

The polls reflect which candidate is getting the vote.If you think polls are a waste, then your candidate is wasting his time following the polls, cuz he sure is changing his tune based on the polls.
(well,Bush didn't have a tune to begin with.Wasn't he the guy claiming Gore keeps re inventing himself? Isn't the pot calling the kettle black now?)

LMAO:D:D:D

I'll excuse you cuz your new, young and pretty. And just because he's from Texas doesn't mean he should be the leader of the free world.I know Texas has ego but thats too much to expect. It's enough we had his father for 4 years. You see the embarassment he cuased.Republicans have been upset every since.

You think Bore shops for his own groceries?

Ignore polls. They're both out of touch. Vote third-party!

I nearly fell out of my car when I heard Bush respond to Gore's challenge to debate the issues. Bush says sure I'll debate him on the issues, that's our "home turf" or some such jive. All Bush says is I'll have my plan next week, when somebody figures one out for me. He's for defense too but is offering 45 billion to Gore's 100 billion for ten years. Huh? A piddly 4.5 billion and "I'm gonna rebuild the military". What a joke. He's gonna buy a thousand toilet seats.

I hate poles, especially when my candidate is ahead by 14 points. HAHAHAHA! Tell me it ain't so. The radio today was alive with desparate Republicans lashing out at every concievable windmill to blame for their candidate's collapse. It was comical even if pathetic. I would have considered Mc Cain, but he wasn't the sure winner. Got to go with the sure winner. Maybe Republicans are right, character does matter, they just don't know it when they see it. But no matter who wins, I'll get the leader I deserve.

It is the republican propaganda page.

What do you think Newsweek is? :p

Got to go with the sure winner.

This why Newsweek publishes biased polls. I'm not doubting that they conducted the poll, but I'm betting that they polled a very liberal crowd (perhaps the dickheads that are on the Newsweek staff). This way, simpletons like you and Moonbeam think "Ooooh! I have no idea what candidate to vote for, because my reasoning skills are nonexistant! I have to go with the sure winner so that I'll feel like I did something later on"...

Please, spare us your idiocy.

Well i will excuse your comments because of that comment ;)

But Gore has not shown anything to impress me anyway. I prefer real men, not blocks of wood.

Oh? You missed Gore on Letterman the other night? You didn't see the way He kissed his wife at the convention?

Sorry,I don't see how anyone could refer to him as a block of wood.He has a good sense of humor and is passionately in love with his wife.I thought those where characteristics admired by women.Perhaps I am mistaken about "Texas" women.Maybe they see things differently, as you do.

Yes, I did. It looked very ingenuine to me....his wife seemed the most suprised of anyone :) I stopped watching Letterman when he pandered to Clinton by setting her up instead of taking real shots at her like everyone hoped.

I'm not saying GW is a casanova himself, but its like cheering for your home team even when your home team is terrible.

A little staged makeout session is all it takes to sway you? God damn, and people with your IQ are allowed to vote!?! I know I'll have trouble sleeping tonight :(

On ther other hand, if you believe that Al Gore is now a cool guy because he smooched his wife on television, perhaps you'll believe that I'm the wallet inspector :D

Bubba, you are the last person here or anywhere else with enough on the ball to challenge MY reasoning abilities.Every time you respond in a thread like this ,you show your ignorance.
You obviously acknowledge the link MrPALCO refered to is a propaganda site for Rush Limbaugh sheep.I hardly think Newsweek is in that catagory. It is a well respescted magazine with a very wide readership. You wouldn't know about those things though. You don't slither out from under your rock long enough to see the anything in print. You must have your nose up Rushes fat butt.

"Please, spare us your idiocy"?

The majority in this forum are hoping you will spare us your foul diatribe B.S.

Doesn't it seem odd a politican is making appearances on Rosie and Letterman? Is the message "politics are a joke"? Light entertainment? I realize the strategy driving what's happening here (they want votes) and know it's happened before. But is this the right way to get elected? :|

Stick around.I understand you rooting for "the hometeam".It just doesn't resonate as a legitamate reason to cast your vote for him.

But then again, not many others have been able to give a good reason to vote for either,so I guess thats as good as any.

He is still losing badly.
