Met him once. Briefly at a charity event here in the Bay Area. They gave him some kind of award, and the award consisted of about 50 cpu's glued together into a spherical shape, with a plaque attached to it. Very cool.

So much of my life has been driven by the technology he expanded. Career, you name it. It really began with Fairchild, I can see the chip data book in my mind, 960......

RIP, you helped to completely change the world.
