I held off buying the GoPro 2 and I'm definitely glad I did, this seems to be a worthy product and the prices are good!
 
For those that are wondering why the white and silver versions have similar specs to the hero1 and hero2 is because they have the exact same sensor/cpu as the older camera's plus wifi.

I doubt gopro is going to admit this, but all you have to do is compare the specs of the white/silver to the hd1/hd2 and you'll have your answer. They're 100% identical to the older models and have the exact same limitations with resolution+fov, low light performance, video bitrate, photo megapixel count and protune capability meaning that they used the exact same sensors/cpu from the older cameras.
Once these camera's come out you'll see that the image quality is going to be different on all 3 of them.
 
A software update for your HERO3 camera is required before using the GoPro app. Full app compatibility with the HERO3 will be available for White and Silver Editions on November 12, 2012, and for Black Edition in WINTER 2012

Lol they release a $400 camera with its wifi capability borked, im still waiting for my android app for my hero2.
 
Has anyone gotten a chance to test the streaming feature underwater? It says 600' in the specs, but I'm wondering how deep you can go while still streaming topside. I've got an idea for an automated spear gun.
 
GoPro announced the release of the camera for Nov 14, later they changed the date to Nov 20, days after to Nov 30, yesterday to Dec 3 and today to Dec 7.

What Cain of games they are paying, I'm going to lose confidence in this company since they look not to serious.

It is not ease just to say, June 7, 2013 or whatever?
