“There’s no way any of us can excuse what the president did yesterday,” King said of President Obama on NewsMaxTV. “When you have the world watching … a week, two weeks of anticipation of what the United States is gonna do. For him to walk out – I’m not trying to be trivial here – in a light suit, light tan suit, saying that first he wants to talk about what most Americans care about the revision of second quarter numbers on the economy. This is a week after Jim Foley was beheaded and he’s trying to act like real Americans care about the economy, not about ISIS and not about terrorism. And then he goes on to say he has no strategy.”

What the President wears is now an issue - wonderful.

That is a true sign of desperation from the right.

When they have nothing that they can really criticize the president about, they have to go after "fashion".

That's all they have had to go after Michelle for years now, and now since they are running out of ideas, so they have to go after Barack's fashions as well.

Republicans may not know how to govern, but at least they know how to accessorize and pick out sensible shoes.

Isn't that what the left was trying to do with Romney's wife only to find out later the shit the first lady was wearing was worth like 4 times as much?

You do realize that as First Lady, she has access to jewelry that's "publicly" owned, right? There are huge amounts of stuff---jewelry, trinkets, furniture, dishes, etc., etc., that the sitting President can use while in office. Tons of that stuff is from gifts given whatever President accepted them, but as President, he/she cannot keep whatever it was and in turn, ownership is by the gov't, and available for use by the sitting President.

Vastly different than actually owning the jewelry dripping off someone.

Not that it makes a difference but according to Huffington Post it's usually Mrs. Obama footing the bill for her clothes.

I looked at that light suit and saw the end of the world so I turned my head to the left and slapped my forehead and a nickel fell out of my ear.

The economy and job market were nothing more than decoys to distract us all from his horrible fashion. Anyone smell conspiracy? I do.

So let me get this straight.

Literally 2 days ago I had lefties throwing a fit that people only comment on the clothes that women wear and not men and how sexist that is.

And yet here we have another liberal complaining that someone is criticizing Obama's suit choice?

Nothing? Didn't you see they had the scandalous order of mention?
Just imagine the outrage if he had had the temerity to mention foreigners half a world away before the economy right at home! Conservatives would have had to break out the smelling salts for that one!

Anyway, I think we need to label this "Economygate," and try to figure out what scandal Obama was diverting from. My guess is that he used the economy info to divert from the fact that he later didn't apologize for wearing the suit.

It's particularly remarkable coming from King, given that no matter what he wears he's still an empty suit.
