I think that's a lot of Monday morning quarterbacking. Why would they have predicted the court would throw it out?

Seems to me that's part of their job, to judge such things. Clearly they got it wrong. The consequences seem quite bad.

The consequences are quite bad, and the definitely got it wrong, haha. That being said I don't think there was a strong reason to think those maps would be entirely invalidated or whatever. (if qualified people were saying that at the time of enactment I would be interested to see that)

When someone posts right wing talking points while showing a complete misunderstanding of how American elections work I usually take that as a clear indication it's some russian shitposter. Anyone who has ever voted in a US state knows senators are elected from statewide races.
i'm in the camp that the only way someone can be both this unknowledgeable and this certain about something so very basic in the american political system is to be american.
