Wow....the "I know you are but what am I?" in this thread (and forum in general) is strong.

I don't give a shit which version bill passes as long as they get the mother fucker passed.

If it passes, hoooorrrrraaaay.

If it fails, which ever party held it up can go take a flying fvck off a cliff.

That is all.

LOL!

Wow! What an ego. I hate to disappoint you, but you're presuming a much greater level of concern about you than I have. I'm afraid I don't spend much time considering what you may think. or speculating and making assumptions about you. I simply offered an observation on the impression you've created with your posts here. If that impression is somehow inaccurate you have a choice to make. You can ignore it, you can do a littler self-reflection, or you can choose to be immature and shoot the messenger. Whatever works for you.

As to "Party of Intellectualism," I don't remember whatever exchange we may (or may not) have had about it, but it's a good example of exactly my point about you. That phrase embodies one shameful theme of the tea bag crowd, their open disdain for intellect. They cherish stupidity. They think it is admirable to be dumb. By parroting that phrase you flag yourself squarely in the tea bag camp.

PS. I should note to your credit that you seem to consider being associated with the tea party as "throwing mud." It shows you're not a complete loon. There are many -- far too many -- who consider that a badge of honor.
The sarcastic phrase "Party of Intellectualism" embodies a mentality and level of arrogance that's commonly seen among some of the progressive Left. The fact that you actually think the phrase somehow means the tea party crowd believes it's "admirable to be dumb" and "cherishes stupidity" speaks volumes about the miserable capacity of your twisted 'intellect'. And, in a previous post, you had the fucking audacity to talk to me of distorted perspectives. What an oblivious, pathetic moron you are...too damn stupid to realize just how fucking stupid you are.

But hey...if you feel that my impression of you is somehow inaccurate you have a choice to make. You can ignore it, you can do a little self-reflection, or you can choose to be immature and shoot the messenger. Whatever works for you.

Liberal intellectual elites (intelligentsia) have always been attacked by various groups, usually the actual power elites, claiming to represent "regular people," throughout the world and throughout the ages. Teabaggers are not the first and they won't be the last.

Last t heard on the evening news if the Boehner is pissed at the democrats becuase they exposed the GOP bullshit by introducing a bill to extend all Bush era tax cuts to everyone except those making over 250K/yr. And in the still democratic majority lame duck congress, said bill is almost certain to pass. Then at best Boehner can introduce a bill to extend the tax cuts to those making 250k/yr too and that bill is almost certain to fail.

Leaving the Senate able to debate and pass judgment on the surviving bill, the bill that extends tax cuts to everyone except those making over 250K/yr.

Sure the GOP can filbuster said bill but then all Bush era tax cuts sunset. Meanwhile Obama is not to blame for what the Senate passes or does not pass.

Leaving the GOP to assume the optional role of the grinch who stole tax refunds for everyone.

I almost but not quite feel sorry for the GOP who is about to learn they can't always get 100% of what they want. And as they cry, I will smile all the way. After all the GOP did all that and more to the democrats every chance they got.

Dems should have hammered 'em with this *before* the election.

If it passed, they'd have been able to claim that they saved middle class tax cuts. If it failed, they could rightfully point to Repubs defeating it, lackeys of wealth that they are...

It's still the same basic scenario, just that Dems failed to make the most of it... they're really not very good at bare-knuckle politics. Real "Leftists" would have clobbered repubs with that club, but too many Dems are entirely too much the lackeys of wealth themselves...

Ah yes, the class warfare of "they need to pay their fair share". And by fair you mean much higher than everyone else, they can afford it right?

People with principles and integrity who believe stealing somebody's money is wrong in the first place REJECT this kind of thinking.

Enough with your class warfare bs. Try making actual arguments instead of rhetoric.

The last 30 years of upper income lower taxation has been paid for by deficit spending.

Reversing that trend is not stealing, that called paying for what you bought. And if you can't comprehend or imagine what that means, then you have no business arguing anything related to economic policy. Go read some Galbraith.

Finally, first class travelers always pay more.

Fiscally responsible in your world means "jack up taxes on everyone and spend more money!". No wonder you're such a confused individual.

While in your world its cut cut cut taxes and spend more money anyway. Then you bitch about the deficit and call me confused.

Excellent first step. They need to force the administration to work with them.

Forcing someone to work together isn't really working together.

LULZ at watching the USA fly down the shit tubes. Jeebus. I love the United States and wanted to move there, but this shit is getting hilarious and borderlining on ridiculous.

What we can really use to balance the budget is lowering taxes to negative rates.

Well, looks like almost half the taxpayers already have zero or negative rates, might as well extend it to everyone.

The Repubs take control of the House in January, they can pass their tax bill then and make it retroactive to the begining of the month. Problem solved.

Many good points. However it's interesting that he simplistically blames the problem on 'corporate greed' rather than the failure of our government to envision the eventual and certain impact of NAFTA and GATT on our economy.

You must not have made it all the way through. He TALKS about problem with outsourcing.

And by "corporate greed" he means cheating and stealing. Which begs whole question who cares what tax rate is when you can cheat and steal as much as you want and not get busted? e.g. banks knew they were making bad loans and didn't care because the CDOs sold off to investors without disclosing that they were in fact complete garbage and bet against them for more profit. The ones they could not get rid of, when investors started going WTF!?!?, taxpayers were assessed to pay for the losses that the robber created. They are still stealing to this day! Foreclosure Gate for one. And getting loans at almost zero % interest while buying GUARANTEED treasuries at 2% spread. That greed. Give Zebo that deal I won't care what tax rate is.

That won't really solve anything, at all. Not only will the old House bill be the one the Democratic controlled Senate will use, but even with the new House the talking points from the Democrats could be the same.

What's interesting about this is that nobody seems to be debating the merits of these tax cuts for the rich, which the vast majority of economists think are a horrible idea.
