boy this thread has taken a crap...

A few notes: Train, much like the party you support, you seem incapable of just saying "sorry, I was wrong" - calling minorities "blindly loyal" voters is in fact an insult to their intelligence - how would you like it if I said that NRA members were "blindly loyal" voters? Voting trends are different than blind loyalty, don't you think? If the Democratic party supports issues that are more relevant to union workers and minorities, why wouldn't they vote for them?

Here is my favorite quote in this thread "Your side got 3000 New Yorkers killed dead". Very nice, and also very ignorant. I'm fairly certain the 9/11 commission is more qualified than you are to say who caused what, and the debate as to what side is responsible for what percentage is moot at this point, but your blanket statement is just plain ignorant.

As to the point of this thread, Hoss said it best - who cares? Remember that the USA Today hired Ann Coulter to attend the DNC, much like the irony of having Moore at the RNC.

Oh, and by the way, the networks coverage of both Conventions is IDENTICAL. If the media was as unevenly biased as some of you would believe, how would the other side ever win a major election? Think about that.

big deal?

Again, why was it left out of the article above? It's usually a gesture reserved for 14 years old girls - could publishing it possibly tarnish the bleeding heart liberal viewpoint of Moore being the next Massiah?

Are you a 14 year old girl? Sure sounds like it.

You guys are insane, full of hate and rage and a danger to the safety of freedom loving people everywhere.

Did you tip over your Kool Aid? I hate to see you go without, so here is a :cookie:

McCain really has stooped low in this election (not as bad as Dole though). It's one thing to say "I'm supporting Bush but I have respect to Kerry." That's fine. But now this neo-nazi incitement of the mob is just pathetic. Can you just imagine all those riled up fat middle-Americans salivating and getting frenzied at the site of a movie-maker? Just imagine the hatred in their purported Christian souls flare up because someone dared challenge their god-sent president.

How is that bigotry? Im only stating Dems rely on those two groups, and would lose almost every election without them.

So quick with the labeling, your conditioned for instant reaction to a threat against the Liberals safe haven of easy votes.

So white people are thoughtful and rational, minorities are "blindly loyal," and that's not a bigoted statement? You're not being honest with yourself, much less anyone else.

You could accurately have observed that most black people vote Democratic (I believe they are actually the only minority group that does so consistently, actually), but instead you used the phrase "blindly loyal." By way of illustration, how would you feel if someone said your wife was "blindly loyal" to you?

Well, I think "blindly" loyal is actually quite accurate. I've seen some distasteful things done in local and state politics down here, but the same people keep getting re-elected out of minority districts. That posits a label of "blindly" loyal in my book, but you'd certainly have to experience it to believe it. BTW, I'm pretty sure that most second generation Hispanics vote Republican, as they tend to be pretty conservative.

And there are Black Republicans out there, but most are much more economically successful than than their Democrat counterparts, and thus typically don't have any credibility with anyone who doesn't have that success. I've noticed on the local, state, and federal level that economics and aid are much more of an issue for Black voters, so they tend to vote for those that bring the hope of a better economy, and aid if they need it. Republicans are more of the line of "make yourself successful" and many Blacks feel that isn't possible in today's world.

The level of American stupidity has just reached astronomical porportions I'm sorry to say. Wake up people!

Wow, you're right. How could I have been so wrong? Thanks for making me see the error of my ways.

My thoughts on Bush and the war were only validated last night by the speeches of McCain and Guliani, two great American leaders. I have a tendency to see more credibility in their opinions than the drunken white trash democratic protesters that were shown in the background, or entertainment activists who couldn't get a college degree if they tried (much like most liberals).

That last statement was kind of odd considering the positive trend between level of education and liberalness.

Do you not agree that the Republican party has a greater percentage of college educated supporters than the Democratic party?

In a word, NO. You have FAR too many inbred southerners on your side to collectively qualify as the SMART party. Pft.

If I were a gay liberal who drove a Prius, I would kiss you, sir :)
Subserviant colony of France?

Driving one of the most technologically advanced regular production automobiles in the world -- one that incidentally helps wean us off Middle East oil -- makes you . . . gay?

We're "insane, full of hate and rage"?

And finally, the almost unimaginable image of xxxxxJohnGaltxxxxx trying to kiss DefRef?

I'd be willing to be the Heartland and South of America contains their fair share of uneducated hicks and rednecks.

Georgia and South Carolina, 49 and 50 in terms of SAT scores.

Kerry saved POWs lives.
Fixed it for you

by contributing to their torture red?
No by giving the Anti War Movement legitamcy with the American Public which forced the Nixon Administration to abandon the War earlier than it would have which in turn brought the POWs home earlier thus saving many of their lives....not to mention lives of American Soldiers and many Viet Namese.

My bad for thinking that P&N was anything other than the "Liberal-Fascist-Democrat Circle-Jerk Forum" where America-hating Michael Moore fans can get together to express their contempt for freedom and diversity as the bleat their pitiful cries for power and revenge.

<yawn>

There's a Real World out there. And it's likely to crush your lying, phony war hero on Nov. 2. Get the cyanide pills ready.

I wonder why they don't just arrest him and escort him out like they do with the rest of the dissenters? I guess since he is an agent of the press that they can't, awwww. TOO BAD. Get used to it

He will be there for the whole thing. :D

I like  how some of the delegates were passing out purple heart bandages that read
"It was just a self-inflicted scratch, but you see I got a Purple Heart for it."
Democrats Rap GOP in Purple Heart Flap

supporting two neochickenhawks for re-election is one thing but insulting Veterans who may have received purple hearts AWARDED to them by the US Military is flat out disgusting. I expect nothing less from the Republicans.
Imagine if Democrats had done this at their convention.

I must admit I was a little surprised and disappointed that Sen McCain didn't touch on, or even allude to these kinds of attacks in his speech (except by reminding the attendees that they should be civil to their opponents). His public statements have been very clear about calling the attacks by the SBVT "dishonest and dishonorable," (though he has indicated he thinks it's fair to judge Sen Kerry's antiwar activities) and I figured he'd specifically ask them not to attack the service of a fellow veteran.

Interesting that Dems are referred to as fascists, when it's the other side who supports indefinite imprisonment without charge, and flaunt the constitution and longstanding legal practice to do so...
You apparently didn't have a problem with Clinton rolling back civil rights after OKC bombing because it was YOUR guy crushing THOSE guys - those whackos who believe in the Constitution as it was written, not REwritten by the liberal-fascist-Democrats.

News flash, Sparky - there's a war on and if you think that we should deal with suspected terrorists the way your beloved Europeans do (i.e. set them free to kill again), you're dead wrong and you'll get a lot more innocent civilians dead if your ways are allowed to return to practice.

It's no longer Sept. 10th. Wake up. Your side got 3000 New Yorkers killed dead. Never going back to that.
Also pertinent that the original fascist, Mussolini, defined Fascism as the merger of State and Corporate power. Anybody notice who it is that the corporate interests are supporting this election? Mergers, after all, are generally mutually beneficial, and agreed upon beforehand- it seems clear that the Repubs are offering a really nice package...
Got a link for that Mussonlini quote or did you pull that from the same place the nutty-corny poo comes from?

The greatest hypocrisy of you liberal-fascist-Democrats is the Big Lie that government under your control is noble, altruistic and honest, while under GOP control, it's Evil, Corporate and Bad. Didn't the DNC Chairman and Clinton proxy Terry MacAulife make $18 million dollars in sweetheart bribes....er...stock deals from Global Crossing before they follow Enron down the tubes? Why, yes, he did! How could that be? Democrats are honest and noble public servants.

Just listen to them say so.

You're either naive, stupid, a liar or all of the above: a Democrat.

Keep lying to yourselves all you want, but quit lying to others.

Kerry lied. POWs died.

Who is the DefRef guy and why is he reading Foxnews transcripts on the forum

Let's face it, if the mob had been allowed to, they have torn him limb from limb because he DARED to criticize their cult hero Connecticut Dubya'. The people watching Fox News and in the convention are a bunch of brownshirts whose faces are red with fury that a guy could daaare criticize GWB. Why is this ironic? Because this is supposed to be the party of values, of Christianity. Last time I checked, Jesus wasn't into Nazi rallies or seething hatred at artists.

How ironic is it that these brainwashed Republicans will wear those purple heart bandaids, while ignoring the fact that neither Bush nor Cheney had the balls to go to a war they both supported.

You know Moore is nothing more than the common msgboard troll who happens to make money off his trolling.

Unsurprisingly many trolls I know seem to like him.
