That they are using tax money to fund their new web-site.

http://www.americaspeakingout.com/

Yep all that wasteful spending, why not add some more. If they really wanted this site why not fund it with GOP money from their “census” fund raising letters?
I bet if dems did this and held a press conference with tax money Faux and others would be all over them.

“Republican leadership paid for the site (and the fancy set where it was launched) with taxpayer dollars -- a seeming contradiction to their constant complaints about uncontrolled spending on the part of President Obama.”

Forgot to add, Don;t worry. Republicans have already said they will ignore aything they don;t like at the site. So I am guessig they are using tax payer money to find things here and say they are representing the REAL peoples voice.

If this is really all the left has its going to be a brutal November for the Democrats. I'll support the Republicans not spending any taxpayer money when the Democrats stop using oil... deal?

No party should be able to use taxpayers' money for anything. Ever. It's not even a .gov site.

I am glad you see the big point I was trying to make. If you support this, you better support it when Dems come out with a pile of Sites paid by your tax dollars. :awe:

History has shown when one party gets away with something the other one takes them up on their good fortune and works it as well. Of course paid by tax money.

This site was developed by House Republicans as part of an official effort to increase the dialogue between Americans and their Congress.

It is our hope the active engagement of the American people will produce a robust debate that will aid in the construction of a new American agenda.

What "new American agenda" would that be?

Return to the destruction of America like the 8 years of Bush and GOP rule?

Hell No

It's easy for me - I've never been a member of any political party.

I have to agree with this, if they want to run their own site they can pay for it. If they want to use the site to facilitate communication with congress it should be .gov and be under the control of congress.

I am opposed to using taxpaying money for either of the political parties. Political parties are not government entities. They should be using donor contributions.

Yea both parties are bad with taxpayer monies, but I only have so much room to hate. And when the Dems are pushing legislation through to bailout failed pension plans to the tune of about $150b...

You and I and everyone here who all have had our retirement accounts destroyed by the stock market - we may now have the transfer money from us to union retirement accounts, for what reason? Is this social justice? Economic justice? Or just political handouts to friends with connections? I think they are going to get it written in to the war funding bill just to play games with the public and with members of congress.

One crappy website versus union bailouts, hmmm, which one am I going to be more angry about?
