Well, we've been in Afghanistan for 18 years. Vietnam was a struggle, and it isn't like we left with a resounding victory. Also the U.S. government is US. Asking Americans to drop bombs and shoot at other Americans is not the same as all out war with another country. A good deal of the armed forces probably leans rights and wouldn't want to enforce an attack on the 2A. I think you're looking at this as too binary of a situation.

It was easy to buy into Trump. He puts America first, I appreciate that. Reminds me of a book I was reading. It was set in the near future where in a side story the unfiltered internet had convinced many people in the rural US to join a Christian sect called the Leviticans who worship Tactical Jesus.
