You presume that women need men to support them at all. They don't. They do need men to support their own children, however, at least for the most part.

I am not presuming anything. It is the base belief of the Democratic Party.

See Life of Julia.

Bullshit, says my wife.

Just a message from her to you.

My wife just called you an idiot too he he.

You might want to take your pants back from your wife ^_^

Then they don't want the votes. From your posts I know you like this. Lack of women will restrict the party and the votes go elsewhere. Another problem is even if a bunch of old guys that make questionable statements to women come up with a good idea that effects women its easier to ignore.

Its not that they don't want the votes.

Its that core beliefs of the Republican Party are categorically opposed to the government handing out money to women.

So since apparently women who don't have a man want the government to take care of them they aren't going to be voting Republican.

No one "lashed out" at you. I questioned the motives behind what I see as a pattern of behavior from you, moonie, and lunar ray. You want to turn that into a personal attack, you want to be a victim, to further "prove" that conservatives are mean people. Honestly, the three of you are so closely knit that it would be easy to believe that you're the same person.

Absolutely not. Conservatives are defective people, not mean. There is a huge difference.

Conservatives do what they do, because they think everything is an enemy, a threat. And, in a world where you can't just shove someone off a cliff or spear them for disagreeing with you, the conservative resorts to character assassination, sensationalism and alarmist behavior.

And, the rest of us (the non-defective people who aren't blaring all the time like false alarms), have gotten tired of it all.

As is most of everyone else; http://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...161350-7885-11e3-af7f-13bf0e9965f6_story.html - the US is becoming liberal. And, there will be 'flavors' of liberals - I am not sure what the political spectrum will look like, but the days of screaming about:
- ACA Death Panels
- Mexican children carrying an African virus
- ISIS/ISIL/Whatever crossing the American border to kill us all with bio warfare!!!shift+1!!!!

,.. are almost over.

You've painted all your "enemies" in a manner that does not match reality. Logic, reason and progress will reign supreme and your kind will go the way of the neanderthal.

Remind me. Was it liberals or conservatives who got a CEO fired for daring to donate to a cause* 6 years ago that they disliked?

*Note this caused supported a belief until recently shared by Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton.

You continually yatter about a brain defect, then go on to post foolish and sensational headlines. Your posts read like the front page of the Enquirer. Why spend so much time trying to prove that you're superior? What is it about you that makes you so fearful of differing ideas? Why do you so desperately need to belittle others?
I'd also ask what you think your efforts get you? No one here thinks you're particularly bright or perceptive, you don't have a chance of influencing anyone because you present yourself so poorly. So what is it you hope to gain?

Gotta love all this brain defect talk, in another thread a person that clearly leans left was accused of having a CBD and called an idiot because he was applying critical thinking to a situation and not getting onboard with the liberal sheep mentality.

This headline is a direct copy and paste from the link - it is not mine.

Your posts read like the front page of the Enquirer.
And most conservative posts sounds like Orsen Welles' War Of The Worlds.

Why spend so much time trying to prove that you're superior? What is it about you that makes you so fearful of differing ideas? Why do you so desperately need to belittle others?
I never said I am superior. And not having a defect does not make me superior. I am pointing out the sensationalism of the righties - how is that belittling?

I'd also ask what you think your efforts get you?
When you read news, do you stop, or do you discuss it? I think you should be capable of answering questions yourself, before you pitch them to anyone else. But, to answer your question; I am discussing what I read,.. I even provide links to them.

No one here thinks you're particularly bright or perceptive, you don't have a chance of influencing anyone because you present yourself so poorly. So what is it you hope to gain?
I am not looking to influence anyone. In fact, most of the stuff I state (like conservatives going away) won't even occur in my lifetime (I've been quite clear on this a few times,.. hey, I thought you said you 'know' my posts,...). I read something and then discuss it.

Also, no one is forcing you to read anything I post.

I am pretty sure there is an ignore feature on these forums. One of the rightie nut jobs even told me he was ignoring me,.. so, I know this feature exists - you should look into it.

But, I advise you do not speak to me again if you decide to ignore me, since that is totally the opposite of ignoring someone - just as an FYI.

Will the Republicans be able to "scrub the stupid" in time for the 2016 election, or will we get more comments about rape and abortion? I'm hoping for a Santorum-Bachman-Palin type of ticket.

Republicans are too married to their religious base. I imagine that is hurting them and will continue to erode their numbers as time goes on. If they try and make a shift in some more popular major policy changes, then their christian base will likely not be happy. If John Boehner comes out tomorrow and says Republicans now officially endorse gay marriage, what happens?

I think their policies pander to an ever decreasing number of people. Just look at some of the righty posters here, I imagine they do more harm for their party than good, spouting off some of the ridiculous bs they do.

The Religious Base, which doesn't really care about Fiscal/Economic policy, is the perfect match for the other half of it's influence, the Wealthy campaign financiers who want lower Taxes, less Regulation, and don't really care about Social policy. If the GOP loses either of those 2, they are finished.

The problem they have is that they are now backed into a corner. Returning to the Political Centre will mean years of turmoil. Their own choice of remaining relevant, in a Power sense, is to remain Radical or even to become even more radical. I suspect the latter will be the choice and that will lead to an increase of radicalization so extreme that if we could look 10-20 years into the future, even the most die hard GOP member today would go "WTF is this?"

Expect Candidates who openly champion Theocracy from a Tea Party like movement, even except less focused on Economics(a real tall order since the TP doesn't have much a grasp on that subject already).

The whole Conservatives/Conservatism is a Brain Defect argumentation should stop. It is inaccurate and doesn't really accomplish anything.

However, the current popular form in the US claiming the mantle of Conservative/Conservatism certainly is a defect and fundamentally dangerous.

So what is my point? It is simply this: Somewhere there exists an Intelligent and Useful Conservative political philosophy. It has merely been drowned out by the utter stupidity that has taken control of the Republican Party and the mass media representation of "Conservatism". Everyone, even Liberals, should encourage that still small voice to become heard once again and save that movement from the muck.

I'll agree about the brain defect thing. The rest? It's too late for that. Modern conservatism isn't conservative at all. It's reactionary. It's mostly astroturf, as well.

Let me put it in straightforward terms: Anybody dumb enough to believe it is too dumb to have thought it up themselves. They're heavily exploited victims of propaganda.

Which isn't to say they're dumb about everything. Far from it. OTOH, when it comes to politics & economics, they've just been relentlessly propagandized for nearly 40 years.

How else can a person maintain faith in trickle down economics? Neocon foreign policy? Deregulated financial industry? Abstinence only sex-ed? And fer crissakes, Ben-fucking-ghazi?

It's never too late. There has to be someone now or in the recent past that had a coherent and feasible view of Conservatism.

You're confusing your beliefs with facts. I know a lot of very hard core conservatives, and you'd be very surprised at how "liberal" their thinking really is. The problem is that it's only the lunatic fringe that gets the press, and only the stupidest of statements that get repeated. All to often, those statements get a word or two changed along the way. The two examples that come to mind are Sara Palin and Al Gore. Palin never said she could see Russia from her house, and Gore never said he invented the Internet, yet both of those statements are believed true by many people. A little honesty would go a long way in the political arena.

Nice attempt at deflection.

Paul Ryan's "budget" certainly wasn't fringe, even though it was pure propaganda.

Job Creator tax cuts aren't fringe.

The Ownership Society wasn't fringe.

The invasion of Iraq wasn't fringe.

The explosive growth of inequality over the last 35 years is not fringe, nor is the dearth of jobs & opportunity, either.

Conservatives are in a state of denial as to what their own ideology & policy have wrought, and the propaganda effort to keep them there is enormous.

My wife just called you an idiot too he he.

As if Men of more liberal persuasion don't do the same thing. Sheesh.

The truth is that men & women of good character take care of each other, regardless of politics.

To both of yall, studies show conservative women are happier than liberal women.

If you are a liberal male, you are doing something wrong.

Yeah, I'm just a former Marine pussy and my grandfather was a former Army scout democrat who had 5 bronze stars going across North Africa, D-Day, and Europe with Patton after that.

Go back to your fantasy land, dickhead.

I'd run off a list of other vets in the family but not in the mood.

There are so many it would spin your head, you just seem an asshole from texas.

Yeah know what they say about Texan's in the Marines don't ya?

hahaha i read these posts about how the republican man makes sacrifices so his wife can live a good life :)

and then i saw that "father knows best" image.....

i almost spit my tea out on the monitor...

it's so true though.. and being from texas, it's IN MY FACE!!

reminds me of the obviously republican couple i always see walking down my street (for excersize)

except it's a steep hill. and the republican man, wont slow down for his wife to keep up :)

so she's back there huffing and puffing, shooting glances at me staring back at her (and it's like we make a connection) .......i feel your pain.......

damn that strong republican man is good at making sacrifices :) as she slows to a walk, and he finally stops at the top of the hill and turns around with hands on hips to wait for her to make it to the top of the hill.
