So don't vote for Obama because it'll make the terrorists happy?

Bwuhahaha

I think somebody in Iowa can't tell the difference between having their opinion published because it's intelligent and insightful, or because it's so stupid it's funny.

Wouldn't you feel really embarrassed if this Gomer was your representative in DC? Jeez, I would.

Fern

Exactly. King is an ultra-partisan loon with a long track record of making exceptionally stupid comments. I wish he were in my district so I could vote against him. He is an embarrassment to Iowa.

I'm more embarrassed by my rep in DC than I am having King being a rep from Iowa.

I'm more embarrassed by our President and his actions than King. King is a ranting loon with little ability to do real harm. The Presidential Ranting Loon has demonstrated his keen ability in that regard.

Yeah, and I'm more embarrassed by the Presidential candidates(and their desire to do harm - IMO) than I am of the current President.

next... ;)

Xenu will get you if you don't watch out :D

Here is a hint for Republicans, the Democrats will be coming out of the convention divided. All you gotta do to win is make sure you don't unite us behind the eventual nominee by demonstrating yet again that you are a party of stupid rednecks.

I thought you're voting for McCain if/when Obama gets the Democratic nomination...!?

I will, but the GOP rednecks are trying their hard hardest to get me to change my mind.

Iraq is a terrorists wet dream. Pulling out would leave them without any targets.

Of course they are and they vote Republican. How do you think Bush got elected? Fear is the number one tool of the GOP. Without fear the GOP cannot muster up the people who make up the stupid and ignorant demographic.

Right, because Democrats don't throw the word "crisis" behind causes like Climate Change, the housing market, oil prices, etc... to whip people into a fear driven frenzy.

Both sides use fear mongering to energize their less informed base - it's not exclusively a Republican or Democratic strategy. It's one of many tricks people can use to get people emotionally involved in supporting their cause, political or otherwise.

Nice... "make sure you don't unite us behind the eventual nominee" - glad to see your party has such strong convictions that rather than uniting behind a candidate of your own volition it takes what the Republicans do to unite you to a common cause. Baaaahhhh. Baaaahhhh. :sheep

As far as the Democrats being divided... I love it. Let Obama and Clinton squander their election funds battling one another out and giving one another black eyes on the public stage, weakening their chances in the election. This nonsense with the delegates in Michigan and Florida being held back by the DNC in January coming back to haunt them is pure icing on the cake. Howard Dean strikes again...

Also, I'd take being called a redneck over being associated with the the party of welfare losers, union slackers, granola eating birkenstock wearing neo-hippies, socialists, idle rich celebrities, black turtleneck wearing brainwashed college kids, atheists/anarchists and pretty much anyone at CNN/MSNBC. :)

Climate change is debatable but IMO the majority of the evidence is on the side of MMGW. Critics will say it's fueled by greenies wanting to profit from carbon credits and the like. Even if GW isn't man made would it hurt to clean up the environment? I guess that's worse than fear mongering the country into a never ending war. Not. Even after Bush & Co were proven wrong at best and liars at worst for the Iraq war they still got re-elected.

The housing market and oil prices are both major issues. I don't think the Dems have been using them though. If they have I haven't read/heard it.

That's rich - a (R) calling the (D)'s sheep. Especially considering how the great shepherd GWB pulled the wool over his sheeple's eyes in 2004. Don't worry about the economy or war in Iraq or world opinion. Teh gayz want to destroy the sanctity of marriage and abortion is murder stem cells are alive!!!!!!!!11111 I know Kerry wasn't the greatest but a hand puppet should have been able to beat GWB. Hmmm... maybe a bigoted pro-life anti-gay hand puppet would have? :D

Really?

If this the kind of attack the GOP will use they might as well fold their tent and go home now. It should an encouragement to Dems, and discouraging for Repubs.

That kind of stuck-in-1st-grade-stupidity "you shouldn't vote for him because of his name" stuff just isn't gonna cut it, IMO.

Edit: Hehe, Olbermann was making fun of this guy last night. For a guy named Steven King (like the horror sci-fi author) he shouldn't be talking about anybody else's name.
