This isn't strictly true. Nonetheless, the point here is not whether the employer has a right to fire the employee for their political activities. It is the abuse of power for a congressperson to spur that action.

What a beta move on the part of the congresswimp. So weak sad.

What if liberal clients run on the bank? I would definitely take my money out of such bank. In fact, I am going to move my money out of Scottrade now that they are being bought by Ameritrade, owned by a major Republican donor Joe Ricketts.
