Is a white nationalist automatically a racist? I assume the "white" designator is there to imply that. Are there no nationalists of color?
It is not a ‘nationalist who is white’, who would presumably promote the entire American nation and just happens to be white; it is a ‘white nationalist’, who promotes the white American nation.

White nationalists consider themselves the real Americans. People like me in their eyes are not.

What do you think??

I think deigning anyone there rights and privilege's is wrong.
There are a thousand different splinter groups across the country, some have ideals and plans that I find repulsive. Some are growing because they take advantage of those with limited understanding and plenty of anger. I don't have time or interest in any of them.

Things like this could have been avoided if Democrats just fixed their messaging.

what messaging?

blah blah blah can't speak words coherently Biden.

The midterms are gonna be a complete disaster which could have been avoided.

Sure. You keep believing that. A bunch of tweaks here and a bunch of tweaks there and suddenly 74 million Americans no longer prefer fascism.

Unlikely. Their numbers are growing as Democrats bleed support left and right.

Yes, some of it is messaging. But some of it is that a large chunk just don't want what they're trying to sell, agree or disagree.

You would think that after everything the GOP has laid bare the past 6 years, THEY would be the ones losing support, not the other way around. Why do you think that is?

The Democratic Party is the only party that attempts to actually govern - pass laws, regulations, improve infrastructure, etc.

The Republican Party doesn't have a platform other than cutting taxes on the wealthiest people in the solar system, and opposing the Democratic Party because the Democratic Party is Communist/Socialist/Fascist/whatever-phrase-has-been-polled-to-scare-the-Republican-base-this-week.

So, you'll constantly hear how the Democratic Party "can't message", when it can, but every policy failure defaults to Democrats because literally EVERYONE knows the Republican Party isn't going to help...unless it's to cut taxes on the wealthiest people in the solar system.

You can watch as Republicans, Independents™, Libertarians, libertarians, centrists, Democrats, Liberals, Democratic Socialists, etc., all accuse the Democratic Party of being the only party with any agency in government.

The big bad Democratic Party is why Trump was elected President, not the Republican voters who voted for him. Not the Republican donors who gave the Republican Party and Trump billions. Not the mainstream news media that exists to sell advertisements to as many people as possible and hence downplays the Republican Party's treason and fascism... to maximize ad revenue.

And even when a Republican, Libertarian, libertarian, Independent™ or centrist is backed into a corner by the sheer terribleness of the Republican Party...there's always a way out, you see. The ultimate BigLie.

BothSidesDoIt™

That's the phrase that allows people to hand-wave away Republican treason and fascism.

Sure, the Republicans are fucking terrible, but there's a liberal blogger with over 12 consistent commenters who say equally terrible things as an elected Republican Senator from Missouri, so, you know...BothSidesDoIt™.

I'm not sure splitting those hairs is the point here.
Are you trying to allude that Democrats have been known to support other racists?
Please provide some examples to the class.

And try to use something fresh, not from the old South which is now Republican.

Well, at least you headed them off at the pass, with your last sentence.

The only answer is “Yes”. Same applies for black nationalists in the US too. The difference though is that one movement is far larger, growing faster, and closer to the levers of power in government (hint it’s the one that supported Trump.)

Black Nationalists are unfortunately lumped in with “Antifa” or “BLM” which is kinda like saying Nazis and Socialists are the same thing.

So the answer to my original question is that the color designation is the racist flag, and that there are black nationalists.
Thanks.

Well, yeah? I thought that was obvious. Technically you could have your standard run-of-the-mill nationalists who aren’t necessarily racist—in America there are quite a few who’d accept all natural born citizens regardless of color/background (in their fantasyland all immigrants would either be deported or living here as second-class residents without equal protection under the law.)

But generally, nationalism and the zeal for ethnic/racial/religious hegemony go hand in hand.

All of which explains why I was asking about the color designator.
At a basic level I have no issue with people that want be around others that look like them, it's such a common thing that most people don't even think about it. Right here in my little city there ethnically divided neighborhoods. There sure as hell aren't any rules establishing that, but the lines are clear. I assume it's just what they're comfortable with.
I guess there will always be idiots that get militant about it.
