This is truley one of those feel good stories🙂 Bargain basement price (75K) thoroughbred owned by 6 small town little experiance normal guys stands the chance to win triple crown, and be mentioned in the same breath as Secretariat, and Man o War both multi million dollar horses by multimillion dollar owners.
He's a gelding which means they lost about 200 million in stud fees assuming his progeny successs and winning the triple crown. Nevertheless, this is a one in a million find for such a great horse. Good luck Funny Cide.🙂

Go Funny Cide

I sure hope he does it!

1 1/2 miles is a loooong race, though, and Empire Maker is strong in the distance. And it's a thin field, too.

Holy Sh1t. You posted this yesterday and no one posts😕... Like my Zepplin Thread of them topping the charts again this week...

Well I'm going Funny Cide but DyNever is a bad mofo and rested too🙂

While I hope he wins, and it would be great to have another Triple Crown winner, I don't think he'll pull it off. I think Empire Maker will take it.

As for Funny Cide being in the same league as Secretariat and ManO'War, although he is a nice horse that's had some good runs, he's nowhere hear the horse those other 2 were. For my money, Secretariat was the best horse ever run in the Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes. Hell, the best horse run EVAR!

Two points a) IF he wins that's ending a 25 year dought b) He'll continue Racing...Who knows....as you say way to early to tell.

Either way it's the biggest news in Horse racing since Secretariat which is good for the sport no matter how you feel about Funny Cide.
Here's a good caomparison flash..
