Google's logo and Cinco de Mayo

I once emailed them a suggestion about Google News (about a week ago) and I got a personalized reply back within 2 hours. Send 'em an email and see what they say.
 
newegg the same- some online outfits have A-M-A-Z-I-N-G customer service :Q

Once I was doing research into a hardware load balancer and I came across a rebate that newegg didnt have listed. when I told them about it, I had a reply that they were looking into it in about 5 minutes and within an hour they thanked me and they had it linked. :Q

i have heard taht too and dont know if its true or not. I truly cant stand this day. 90% of the people driving around with the mexican flag on the hood of their car have no idea what this day is about.

Isn't it Mexico's Independence Day? At least that's what I remember from 7th 8th 9th 10th and 11th grade Spanish classes.

It is primarily a regional holiday celebrated in the Mexican state capital city of Puebla and throughout the state of Puebla, but is also celebrated in other parts of the country and in U.S.cities with a significant Mexican population. It is not, as many people think, Mexico's Independence Day, which is actually September 16.

Not really a holiday. If they changed it for cinco de mayo, every rag tag country in the world would want the logo changed on thier national holidays. Maybe google does not want to mess with it.

That was poor phrasing.

It begs the question what defines a holiday, I'm sure Google has given it consideration and decided that this is not a holiday by thier definition. I would recognize the point, but really, IMHO, if they celebrate St. Patties, might as well throw in Cinco de Mayo.

It's a regional holiday/celebration. Mexico and the US states around the Mexican border with high Mexican populations celebrate it.
