GoogleDesktop using 50% CPU all the time?

Just trying to compare notes and figure out if you guys have a similar problem...

In Task Manager at home i always see Google Desktop using 30%~50% of the CPU all the time, idle or not. (it already finished scanning all the hard drives.)

it's not of a major concern to me, since it does not affect my games and other stuff i run.

but it sort of bugs me why it is always running.

the same Google Desktop installed on other computers and at work, usually sits at 3~7% CPU time.

any idea what is making Google Desktop go crazy & wild like that?

no, i use web mail only, and i don't process that much file, it is mainly a Entertainment Unit, Video, Games, MP3, etc... so those files just sit there most of the time

but i found the problem it was one of those plugins i installed, that shows you netstats.

lets just say it sucks, it needs better optimization, i liked it because it was handy and you can quickly see the new connections etc.

other more professionals Admin type of netstats software i use, doesn;t eat up so much CPU usage at all, they just lack the nice looking docking interface.

I don't like GDesktop for those very reasons. The indexing service is nice, but vista is fairly efficient at this as well.

Google Desktop is nice but it usually slow down my pc while it is indexing several documents I leave it overnight until it is done no more indexing again.
I am not sure about install it again because I am going to make a database using either FileMaker or Access.
