is it just me, or, when i go to google, i have to make a mouse movement (could be a keyboard stroke?) and then the menu shows up at the top of the screen.
ie, the menu containing the mail link, among all their other stuff???

cause, and this is just me again, i'm finding that delay very fecking annoying!!!
so, can i turn it off?

it seemed to start when i was using chrome. now it's spread to ie8!!
i hate it!!!

It is not the case with the iGoogle homepage, so I don't end up having this issue, thank god.

Google's Menu system is a PITA. Let us customize it please.

i DO NOT WANT IT!!!!!

If I use NoScript in Firefox to turn off scripts on Google.com, the menu shows immediately. Not sure what other unforeseen side-effects this might cause, but it works at the home page.

Personally, I never even see the Google homepage anymore; I created bookmarks with keywords in Firefox for various searches (g=google, gnews=news, gimg=Google Image Search, etc.)

Yeah, I notice that about a week ago, I don't like it either. Don't know why they thought they didn't to add a script to the simplest looking webpage on the web.
