Google Voice now on iPhone (Web App)

Can someone run me down the bonuses for using GV? I have an invite but haven't set it up yet. Do i create a new number and give that out to everybody so it rings all my phones?
 
Does anyone happen to have an extra invite they would be ok with sending me? I'd like to start using it, but haven't had an invite yet.
 
Voicemail transcription, Free unlimited text, Free calling to US and Canada, Low rates for international calling.

You can either create a new number which allows you to use all of the features or use your existing number but don't get as many features.

Essentially yes, but you can set up rules as to which phones ring depending on the caller, time of day etc.
