Google voice help needed

I started to setup a gv and choose a number other than my own but I know think I should have just used my number. I am at the part where it asks for a secondary number. Is there a way to go back after I am done and change my mobile number as my gv number?

Do you have Sprint? It should be seamless if you do.

If not, then you'll have to pay and do the number transfer thing.

Yes I have Sprint and got it changed with no issue. Another issue though, every time my phone rings I have to hit a prompt on my phone if I want to answer it, this is annoying as shit, any way around this?

Just to be sure, you do know that Sprint is the only carrier that allows you to have the same mobile and Google Voice number, correct? If you port your mobile number from another carrier to GV it voids your contract and you would have to pay an ETF.

With that being said, if you want to change your number go to voice settings (click on icon on the top right) on the GV website. Under the phones tab it shows your current number and a Change/Port link

1. Click the gear icon at the top right of any Google Voice page, click the Voice settings link, and select the Calls tab.
2. Select the 'Off' radio button option in the Call Screening section.
3. Click Save Changes.
