Messing around with Google Voice and Google Hangouts for the first time.
I have my GV # and am forwarding my work phone to it. Setup Google Hangouts on my iPhone with that GV #. When someone calls my work phone, it does work (goes to my iPhone), BUT BOTH the native iOS phone app. and Hangouts "ring".
Hangouts will display its notification banner, but the native iOS phone app. pops up over that and covers the whole screen. If I dismiss the native iOS phone app., it stops ringing and I can answer it through Hangouts.
Is there a way to make calls to the GV # ring JUST Hangouts and not the native iOS phone app. as well?
