They come out with this and I'm dropping my land line and buying a couple of iPod Touches. :)

Only problem is you presumably have to leave the program running to receive calls (unless you forward the calls to your cell phone number, which obviously wouldn't save you any minutes)

I've got an account, but the number I've got is from GA and I now live in OR so I want to change to an OR area code, but they won't give me that option so it is just sitting there. I'd love to use it otherwise.

Yeah, but even then you won't be able to run apps in the background, right? They can send you a notification that someone is trying to call you, but then you'll have to call them back.

I think you can multitask with OS 3.0.

No, you can't. But you can get the notification to launch the app.

that probably depends on how it works.. it could keep ringing/notifying you until you launch the app. I'm not sure what options google voice has, as I've been on the waiting list since it was still grand central (and i believe prior to google saying they'd be buying them out)

Wow, maybe you should try signing up again. I don't think it took more than a month for me to get in, and I signed up around the time that Google bought Grand Central.

Of course now that they relaunched it I'm sure they're flooded with requests.

Is that really so bad though?

You get a notification, launch the app, take the call...
