Google Talk and ZoneAlarm

I am having problems getting Google Talk to work while ZoneAlarm is on. The program will start up but it won't connect. If I want to use it I have to shutdown ZoneAlarm.

I tried to add Google Talk to the list of programs in ZoneAlarm Program Control but it won't show up. How can I get it to work?

when you go to add it, ZA should have given you a option to locate the program if it's not listed.

Yeah, I tried to add by locating the program, but even after I did that it didn't show up on the list.

then somethings wrong with ZA. I'd look at replacing it with Comodo Free Personal Firewall.

Zone Alarm products are trash. If you really need a firewall just pickup a cheap router, they all have hardware firewalls and are better than almost any software firewall.

Trillian Pro has Google Talk add on it works very well with ZoneAlarm Pro I am using right now.
