Question Google Suite Question - Shared Drives and Moving Files

I have a shared folder that my whole team uses, most of the docs are owned by me, some by my team members, and a large amount are still owned by ex-employees. I can probably get IT to make me the owner of all the documents, but my question is, has anyone, or does anyone know how to just move the files over to the shared drive other than downloading them and re-uploading? Its a few TB of data
