In response to a complaint we received under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 8 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint for these removed results.

You don't think Sharman would be annoyed with a people that modify its software without its consent?
As evil as spyware is, it is still Sharman just trying to defend its property only shotguns don't work across the Internet.

I should decide what is objectionable. Just because the search engine I use blocks kiddie porn, doesn't mean it no longer exists. Leave it to me to decide, thank you.

Google should not remove anything. Its not like google "IS" the internet. Its a search engine. They owe no one anything.
If they didn't comply with the order, they'd have very expensive legal bills on their hands, and it'd eventually come down to a court order anyhow. Regardless of how much we geeks love Google, they've got to think of their financial situation and survival before anything else. It'd be a hollow victory if Google resisted the DMCA and went bankrupt in the process.

see, apparently there's a new premium version of KaZaa that you can buy, which gives better download speeds, more search results, verified files, access to exclusive content...and no ads. Basically, its a pay version of Kazaa Lite. And somehow they only realized NOW that people can get most of these benefits by downloading K-Lite.
