Google pop-up blocker gone mad

Over the past few months it has been doing its job but not very effectively. Missing a lot of pop-ups/just not working at all. Now, I go to surf the net this afternoon and it is blocking everything. It's blocking replies here, new post, links that open in a new window, pop-up adds, even when I shift click on links. It's insane. Anyone else have this problem? Yes, I know just to reinstall it. I'm just curious if this has happened to anyone else before.
