Google Play Store not working (Android 5.01)

I have an LG G3 (T-Mobile) and noticed that when trying to use Google Play Store and install any app, it doesn't install (I only see the graphics bar showing it's installing, but it seems to be stuck in that mode.....sometimes for an hour or more).

I've been trying to update the latest Clash of Clans version since last week, but I'm unable to and get the same thing.....I've now uninstalled COC, but can't install it due to this issue and do miss playing it......:'(

I've tried clearing the cache/restart system etc....on these specific apps, but nothing has worked.

I'd appreciate any tips on how to fix this....

TIA
Patre

Did you check the time on the phone? Sometimes my phones lose the correct time and google play just freaks out.

The time is correct....this issue has been going on for about a week (since I first tried to update COC). I initially thought it was a COC problem/bug with SuperCell's newest update (last week)......but, it seems like all apps in the Play Store won't install.

Of note, I haven't tried to install anything for about a month or two since trying last week.......my other apps probably got their usual updates possibly early November and haven't got any notifications since then.

Play Store was freaking out on my Lollipop phone a couple of days ago as well. Every time I searched on something, it crashed. This seems to be a little different, but what fixed it for me was uninstalling update and have it installed the latest version after that. I don't know if you've tried that or not.

Thanks Cronos for the suggestion...

No, I haven't yet.......actually, I'm not quite sure what you mean by uninstalling Update. Not sure where to look for this on my phone?

Just go to app management (where you can clear data/cache of apps, and also force stop). From there you can 'uninstall updates' as well. After you did that, maybe reboot and let Play Store update to its latest version (it should do that automatically).
