Hello,

A few days back when I logged on to Mozilla, the google page opened (it is set as my home page). Immediately after that it switched over to another page which stated my Adobe Flashplayer needed update. I checked from the logo etc the post seemed authentic and I clicked on it.

From that moment on my google page has stopped responding totally. When I type www.google.com it takes me to the page which either says "warning, your flashplayer may have become out of date". i clearly think this is not genuine and that some sort of virus has infected my systems. What is worse is that when I am trying to log onto google from my android phone's mozilla application, the same thing happens.

I access internet through BSNL using WIFI and both my laptop and phone operate from the same WIFI.

A strange thing however is that I can access google when i type http://64.233.161.100/ in my address bar. Also, when I am accessing the internet using a different ISP (TATA PHOTON), I can access the proper google page using google.com web address.

PS: THis is happening with all my browsers (Mozilla / IE / Chrome).

All other pages are opening fine.

Kindly help me resolve this problem.

Regards.

Let an admin move it for you. For your problem download malwarebytes, free version, and scan your system and remove the malware. Once it has been cleared off retry your browser.

I had the same thing happen to me using chrome. Google's #1 complaint is website hijacking. I uninstalled chrome and used avg ad-aware then reinstalled chrome. Was ok for a bit then it came back. Since I was unable to remove it from chrome, I uninstalled it and now I use mozilla. I'm afraid it will get to mozilla too. I tried researching the particular malware but didn't find anything. Good luck!
