Google-only network suckitude

All,
I've been experiencing some poor performance on my home network, with both wired and wireless connections through a Belkin N150 router- the odd thing is that only Google-based services are affected: Gmail, Drive, Youtube, etc. Other websites work fine, and speedtest.net and pingtest.net both give expected, non-remarkable results. Sometimes, Imgur also is slow, but I suspect it may be on their side due to peak usage. This is often resolved by resetting the router and modem. Anyone know why only Google services would have terrible performance?

It might be an issue with encrypted traffic or redirects. All google services force a redirect to the https version of the site. I'd try out some other https sites so you can rule out that variable.
