they did segment on google. they talked about ideas in future. one thing mentioned was being able to scan barcodes of items in stores with cell phone, sending to google, then getting back price comparison of local stores. interesting.

maybe they can do a local gas price search first.

maybe something that sent you a text message everyday telling you where the cheapest gas station on your way to work will be or something

I thought MSN already does that? I'm always getting something on lowest gas price in my hood but the problem is that the data is always old and whenever i go there the price is already different.

They're already doing that in Japan. With Amazon I think. Because of such a change, stores pressured cell-phone manufacturers to add a loud camera sound whenever a photo is taken

today's phones still aren't required to make a loud camera noise. Actually on my Treo 600 (and the same for the new 650), you can mute the entire phone with a single switch on the top.
 
i was at a restaurant last night meeting friends when the 60 minute google coverage was showing on the tv overhead. i couldn't hear what they were saying, but i kept glancing toward the television since they showed some cool stuff. i'd love to watch it.

Google uses aptitude tests, which it has even placed in technical magazines, hoping some really big brains would tackle the hardest problems. Score well on the test, and you might get a job interview. And then another and another. One recent hire had 14 interviews before getting the job - and that was in the public relations department.
