I recently added a wired access point to my house and have a no longer needed Google Nest WiFi unit I was using as part of a mesh network, as the new wired access point covers the whole house and then some.
I have a wired location in my girlfriend's house upstairs where there is really poor Wifi reception. She has xFinity service and already has a router. I'm wondering if the Google Nest WiFi unit can be setup as a basic access point on her network without any routing enabled. I have tried searching this on Google and can't get a clear answer about it, which is why I'm asking here now.
