google maps new feature!

think they've just done something new to google maps-- when you zoom in/out, instead of refreshing the whole image its more of a sliding in/out zoom. image loads much faster this way- works more like google earth rather than reloading the entire image!

i live in london, google maps has been a lifesaver. far better than streetmaps.

maybe if you live out in the bush its not as good 😛
 
Feels the same speed to me. You just have the super blurry zoom to look at instead of missing blocks while waiting for the pictures to load is all.
