I cannot access google maps using either IE6 or FF3. When I try to I get a message that tells me they don't have maps at that zoom level for that region and that I should zoom out. But even the maximum zoom out doesn't show a map.

I have searched knowledge bases at Mozilla and for IE6. I have java scripting enabled, I do not have the Skype add in for FF3 that can cause this problem. I have added google maps to my trusted sites list in IE.

I have Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite and I have added google maps to my trusted sites list.

I'm at a dead end. What else can I do?

Have you tried this I have no problem using Google maps with FF 3.0.4 and I do have the Skype extension installed. It might be worth trying FF with all you add on disabled and see if that helps there may be a compatibility problem with one or more of them. You could also try removing Java completely using add/remove programs and then reinstall the latest version 10 I believe. and if all else fails try a clean install of FF. All this assumes you have a clean system and that all the usual malware scans are ok.

MA, I have followed those instructions, my browser is already set up with that. I uninstalled Java, downloaded version 10. Nothing changes, no maps. And the same thing happens in IE, not just in FireFox so I doubt it's FireFox.

Sounds too simple but have you tried clearing the cache or turning your firewall off and try that way if you are concerned use the windows fire wall to test. Other than that  I don't have a clue, I have 4 computers here that all work fine with google maps using FF, ie7 and ie8 so I guess it is a configuration problem somewhere, have you tried flushing the DNS cache?
