i think you'd need a GPS to do that

how are you going to tell google where you are?

you can put lat/long coordinates into google maps

I think he means manually find the location on a the map and then get an address.

While we're on Google Map's questions...

Now that you can drag the line for an alternative route, is there a way to do that but have it not put the pause in there?

I haven't found a way yet...

Why is that important? I mean, you can just ignore the pause and follow the directions, no?

Because it breaks up the total trip miles.

Microsoft map point allows you to do this. Click anywhere and it will give you the address. This isn't an online program though so it's not really of much use to you. I just figure if microsoft can do it, I'd think google could find a way to do it as well.
