Google map, Microsoft live map, Yahoo map, they are all bad

It happened when I tried to find an address thru Geico.com. Geico uses Microsoft VirtualEarth. This address "110-50 Horace Harding Expressway, NY 11375", has quite interesting results:

(FYI the Harace Harding Expwy is the LIE service road, so this address should be near the intersection of 110th St and LIE service road.)

1. Geico.com: Not even close. You will end up in Greenway Circle many blocks away from LIE.

2. Google map: Give you the address of 105-50 Horace Harding Expressway instead, 5 blocks away and wrong direction of the service road.

3. Microsoft map: Cannot find it.

4. Yahoo.com: Cannot find it.

5. Mapquest: Find the right location.

I used to trust Google map but since they no longer use Navteq map, they suck now (maybe before too).

Microsoft map uses Navteq, but they suck all the time.

I wonder what the GPS units will tell you. Anyone can input that address to your GPS and post the results here? Thanks a lot!

Mapquest finally updated to a scrolling map, with aerial views!
How about that...

Yeah I know mapsquest is not that user-friendly. I like the Google map interface. Now I use mapquest to find the address and then use Google map to pin that location manually.

-Mapquest gave me a non-existing street twice. In fact, they gave me a list of non-existing streets that made up a whole block once.
-Google maps is horrendous around so cal. Two freeway exits I got from them don't exist.
-Also, Google's business search is way off and I think years old. My GPS has a 2006 database, and is more current.
-MS Live Search, at least the mobile version, has never let me down. Maps, business listings and traffic are reliable. It may not list everything, but at least it won't show old crap that hasn't been there in years.

Oh, and google traffic blows .

I would have to agree. Mapquest has time and time again given me correct directions and accurate maps when Google Maps or Expedia has failed.

Google maps has never failed me. The business search is fantastic. On the other hand, I'm surprised to learn that Mapquest FINALLY has draggable maps!

SOmetimes I think google map's sole purpose is to have drivers spell google in cursive with the route that thet are given.

What I got from Live Maps -That's exactly where Mapquest.com takes me. Maybe it can tell that I make maps for a living so it gave me the real location.

I like Live Maps far more than Google Maps. I almost never use Google. As far as Navteq, they can really be hit-or-miss. Be careful.

City Navigator 2009 in Mapsource gives N40.73838, W73.84791
City Navigator 2008 gives around the same area and verison 8 of CN doesn't have address for that part of the road.

My gripe with Google maps is the print quality. That said, I use Google maps almost exclusively except on the occasions where I print off Mapquest.

Google maps is fully powered by Tele Atlas maps - has anyone seen a difference in quality/accuracy?

Mapquest is the WORST, I've seen more people get lost because of bad mapquest directions than all the others combined.

Google maps got my friends and I horribly lost for a second there in SF on Halloween.
