Google Location Services - battery killer

turn 'em off. My 2013 nexus 7 was losing battery power fast while not being used. thing was active so much when i wasnt using it.

checked my battery stats today, it was active like 1/4 to 1/3 as much as it was with location services on.

check to see which app uses it. I have mine on on a 2012 N7 and it barely affects battery life.

Yeah the less you have running in the background the longer the battery will last. So if you turn airplane mode on when you dont need wifi or cell towers your device will last a lot longer. Also, if you turn your brightness down that will help to fix the problem too!

I want the option for just b&w texts onscreen and nothing else able to run in background except a web browser, camera and phone when initiated. Oh and a clock, I like a good large clock.
