I'm finally starting to become patient enough to watch the pre-roll ads on Youtube.

I still close most videos that have ads. Only if I really want to see the video will I wait. And then it gets muted and alt tabbed for 30 seconds.

google is starting to piss me off in some cases. I never got around to deleting all those ridiculous auto-contacts that it creates as soon as you send a single email to some random person on CL or some former job, and I never set it to stop doing that.

so here I go, assuming I can just pick all those guys out, check them at once, then simply select "delete" and they are gone.

no, that option does not exist.

so, having them all selected, I create a group called delete, move them there just so I can keep them all together while I play around.

"Delete group?" no--this deletes the group name, restores all those contacts. click on contact, then select delete at the far right? no--it still takes you into that contact page, where selecting drop-down delete option simply removes that delete option. You have to go to the arrow drop down, select delete.

so there you have it--one at a time, each contact card, one-by-one can you delete.

hey, you can mail them all at once, if you want, but god forbid you want to delete everyone at once.

jeez, google really wants to keep those emails around, don't they?

fuckers.

and now, of course, there is auto-restore contacts, in case you make some "terrible mistake." fuckers.
