Although Google has reversed their stance on Net Neutrality and Eric Schmidt opposed the FCC, Google still is in the bag for Obama and his omicrons.

As much as I personally don't agree with how it's so easy to get a gun in the states and anyone can walk into a gas station and pick one up as an impulse purchase like it was a pack of smokes, I also don't agree with Google sensoring this. A search engine should be 100% neutral.

Microsoft couldn't get me to use Bing, but I guess Google can.

They're censoring firearms and tobacco out of their Google Shopping. They also are discriminating against them for ad words.

According to Big Brother (Google) what is now unacceptable to Google is:
The following products are not allowed on Google Shopping:

Vehicles
Guns, ammunition and knives
Tobacco and cigarettes
Traffic devices
Products related to casino and gambling
Products or digital goods that require additional software installation in order to be purchased.
Products bundled with service plans. (Note: The only products that are allowed to be submitted with a service plan are mobile devices.)

I still see vehicles and casino chips, but radar detectors have now been excommunicated as well.

No knives. WTF! Damn hippies. What are they going to cut up their tofu with now?

well it looks like an exchange of help between privates and politicians.
It happens all the time in corrupt countries.
Democrats can be angry about the military industry and politics clique, republicans can be angry about this.

I try to search Google news, and it says there are 7 stories on the topic, but only 2 show up, and one of them is a bad link.

Are they censoring their news now to?

Theres a story about illegal aliens making crime in Manassas that for some reason is very difficult to find through most search engines.

Link? Not that I don't believe you, considering how most of our crime up here is imported via illegals with MS13 or a different kind of "illegal" with gang members and thugs from Chicago

Amazon doesn't sell guns either. Does Amazon hate guns? Is Obama involved in that as well? Hell, AFAIK, the Romney campaign also isn't selling guns. Mitt Romney, gun hater and Obama stooge.

The following PSA is brought to you by . . . THE HIPPIES ®!

Hey, you, Mr. clueless, angry, gun-wielding man, your face flecked with the righteous spittle of apoplectic indignation, you don't need a knife for tofu.

In fact, soft tofu would just crumble apart anyway if you tried to use a knife on it.

This second PSA is brought to you by REALITY ©!

Google doesn't "hate guns" and it doesn't censor them. It's not good for anyone that a presumably armed man such as yourself is so hysterically out of touch with the facts.

Google Shopping doesn't list them. It also excludes motor vehicles and products bundled with service plans. Please, please, please don't try to make some anti-2nd amendment conspiracy out of those two as well! You'll just look even stupider.

Why do you hate Google's fweedom?

Why do you want to needlessly regulate free enterprise?

Google is a job creator.

Leave Brittney Google alone, you commie!

I think the point that Google Shopping is still a search engine and not an online store is an important distinction.

I've never seen guns for sale in gas stations. :hmm:

My town has a combination gun shop / gas station. :)

This would be a valid complaint if they were censoring the search results proper. Google Shopping is an online store directory, and they have the right to list or not list whatever they want.

Hmmm, I didn't know this. Doing a quick search it looks like they've changed their entire system for Google Shopping at the start of this month. Makes sense then; I would imagine there are liability issues in accepting advertizement money for items that aren't legal to sell online in certain states or countries.

Ok maybe I was exagerating, but I meant you can go to practically any store like Walmart and pick one up, throw it in your cart and go on with your shopping and come out of a simple store and being the proud owner of a new shiny machine gun and ammo to go with it. I just think it's funny, that's all.

And guess I missunderstood the article (had only skimmed through it), I thought it was search results having to do with guns being sensored, but it looks like it's some kind of google store and they'll stop selling them. Outrage not found. Normally when I hear "google is censoring nn" I assume it's the search engine.

You can make an argument against firearms, but what about knives? Everyone outside of an insane asylum or a prison uses knives.
