Google has been getting on my nerves lately

They really need to stop pushing their Google+ garbage on us. It has failed. Let it go.

After turning off the "Search plus your world" in my settings, now it's putting "People and Pages on Google+" in the right hand box. I don't see a way to turn this off.

I love Google plus easy way for me to share photos nd videos. I wouldn't stay compare it to Facebook either to me my use of it and feel are completely different.

No he's not. Its actually gaining traction. This thinking that it needed to immediately come close to matching Facebook's numbers and things like that is just stupid.

I seem to remember people saying something similar when Facebook opened up to everyone (that it was desperation for ad revenue and that it would kill Facebook within a couple of years). Likewise, plenty of people said something new would come along shortly and knock off Facebook.

If you knew anything about social media market you should know better than to say much of anything based on short timeframes. Google+ is probably already bigger than Facebook was at similar timeline.

Holy shit, I just looked it up (I thought + had been around for like 2 years already). Are you guys fucking morons? Google+ has been around for 6 months and only open to anyone for 4. You're really going to deem it a failure already?

I actually use Google+ a bit. As I subscribe to picasa it has been a nice outlet to post photos. For photography it is infinitely better than facebook, I just send e-mails to people who like to view my work.

at this point the only good thing about G+ to me is their competing with facebook, thus forcing FB to innovate and compete. But nobody is leaving facebook for G+, mostly because of the network effect.

the OP is just b1tching. google didn't do anything to you to force you using their products/services. if you don't like the way they do things, you are free to use whatever their competitors offer.
