how has it succeeded? I know exactly 2 people who use it out of my hundreds of facebook friends. One has some weird aversion to facebook, the other is a "social media guy." Normal people don't use it, and never will. It's a failure.
I didn't say it has succeeded. I said it has not failed. Google+ is still growing, and its actually starting to grow faster and faster.
If you knew anything about the social media market you'd know that the op is right. Google automatically giving everyone with a gmail account a Google+ account is a sign of desperation.
No he's not. Its actually gaining traction. This thinking that it needed to immediately come close to matching Facebook's numbers and things like that is just stupid.
I seem to remember people saying something similar when Facebook opened up to everyone (that it was desperation for ad revenue and that it would kill Facebook within a couple of years). Likewise, plenty of people said something new would come along shortly and knock off Facebook.
If you knew anything about social media market you should know better than to say much of anything based on short timeframes. Google+ is probably already bigger than Facebook was at similar timeline.
Holy shit, I just looked it up (I thought + had been around for like 2 years already). Are you guys fucking morons? Google+ has been around for 6 months and only open to anyone for 4. You're really going to deem it a failure already?
