If I know the name of a person who is in jail/prison, is there a way I can find out what his crime was on the internet?

I live in CA, by the way.

That wouldn't concern Google, would it? It's a public record information that you're trying to obtain. Let me consult my bookmarked public record sites and see if CA has a free public records site for offenders.

Okay, you guys have helped already.

The guy was convicted on two felony counts of possession of controlled substances and one count of possession of ephedrine, used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to state prison. It doesn't say which one or for how long, though.

BTW, this was my neighbor of many years just two houses away. My daughter was over there playing with his son quite a bit.

Very interesting.

Oh, I don't live in a trailer park in the desert. I live in a very nice Los Angeles suburb.
