google gmail notifier

I downloaded latest. Where do I put the username/passwd? The options just
has a checkbox for whether i want to use it for outgoing mail.

It doesn't give an error. Says I don't have new mail in my Inbox when I
say check.

It should come up with a login box when you first start up the program.

I'm using 1.0.24 though.

so once you put it in there's no way to change it? thats pretty lame.

it didn't show me that box either.

Maybe it reads the Gmail login information stored locally (ie, in a cookie)?

you're right. i did think of that and cleared firefox cookies because thats the default browser.
now i went and cleared IE cookies and it showed me the login box.

Gosh! This is such a lame prog.

I wish the ffox gmail extension was working better. I'm having problems with it not showing new
messages.

If you right click on the letter in your system tray and go to options, you can change the browser it uses.

I dont have any problems with my gmail notifier. have you tried right clicking on the gmail icon at the bottom of the page?

since updating my notifier always displays 3 extra messages than I actually have....anybody else have this issue?

Just in the several days I have noticied that at every startup or when the gmail system goes down and back up (far to frequently) I get the prompt to re-login. I haven't deleted any cookies nor have I done any changes to my system. I did not need to do this before, so something has changed.
Annoying and lame.
