Google "Frantic" about Personlized home page glitch

"I had four tabs stuffed with content on my personalized homepage. Dozens of RSS feeds, half a dozen bookmark gadgets, friends blogs, all my web presences, dozens of other gadgets. I spent weeks tailoring [it] so it was just right for my very intensive

Internet needs," a user wrote on a Google discussion group. "Now it's all gone."

That guy needs to get a life.

What bothers me is that Google keeps changing the GUI slightly every few weeks...today all my content now has boxes around it. Drives me nuts, once I get used to something they change another thing.

Do you find yourself using it more than my.yahoo? I haven't used my.yahoo in weeks, after using it for years. While the Google interface seems a bit slower, I like the look and feel of it better... Especially the integration with gmail

I never used my yahoo...I started using personal google because of Gmail.

That and from what I have seen, Google allows more customization, with yahoo it is mostly yahoo content.

along with this:
you guys read the article where some gmail accounts were emptied? they logged in to find nothing there.
of course, it's not posted on the front page of "real news"...

Yawn. I don't use this "personalized" crap. Give me plain and simple fast-loading pages that won't kill my 850MHz laptop. 😉
