google fi rebranded itself this morning and will now work with a number of phones. They indicate the experience might be less than perfect mostly do to software not being installed (i.e, carrier switching)...

Curious if this has an impact on consumers (i.e, were you waiting to use google fi?). For myself it would reduce the bill by $10 to $15 a month but it basically means moving service from verizon to t-mobile...

It's not "real" Google Fi, though. It just works on T-Mobile, and doesn't support jumping networks over to Sprint of US Cellular if the signal is bad like it does on the Pixel phones.

I though you could change it manually. Also it does include google fi usage overseas without additional charges.

I was all excited as with 1 phone there looked to be savings, but after using the calc for the 3 needed phones it’s about $15 less than Verizon but the possibility of texts not working outside of Apple is a deal breaker.
