Wow, this is amazing! I think this has far reaching capabilities, especially for military, law enforcement and just a regular citizen.

"A contact lens that includes an embedded circuit, camera and sensor. The control circuit could be linked wirelessly or via a wire to the camera and sensor. The sensor could be a light sensor, pressure sensor, temperature sensor or electrical field sensor, which may allow for people to gain a "sixth sense" of sorts."

That's awesome.

I'd love to see what the movement of the eye does to the view. Everything looks ok to us because our brains process the information to make everything look stable, but I bet the video feed of a camera that is actually attached to the eye is weird and nauseating to watch due to the way the eye flicks around.

Yeah what type of stabilization is needed? Considering how much ours eyes do twitch constantly.

I'm not sure image stabilization of any kind would do it. In fact, when you're looking directly at something, the eye itself probably does a better job stabilizing the image than any software we have. What I'm talking about is just the rapid way the eye will flick around and focus on many things in sequence.

I just had a thought. Imagine a stereo recording taken using two of these lenses and then viewed through an oculus rift.
