Been playing around with Google Earth much? Post coordinates of strange stuff you'd like to show others. For instance, if Arnco Seargent Elementary School was just a mile closer to my hometown I could point out the markings on the street that say "SCHOOL ZON " (It's been that way for several years ever since it was first painted). It's just slightly out of the area where Google Earth provides a detailed image but I'm sure you guys have many similar things to share. In fact, using Google Earth, I was tooling around Anchorage Alaska and found this at 61 d 10' 54.51"N, 149 d 58' 09.51"W (Copy/paste into Google Earth's "Fly To" search). You can critique their grammar from space! "COME ON. LETS GO...!!!" indeed! Also, look around the lake for an impressive amount of pontoon planes ont he shoreline.

The easiest way to grab coordinates I can figure is to create a placemark then right-click and choose "Edit". Check the "Advanced" checkbox and select the "Location" tab. Copy both coordinates and separate with a comma when pasting here.

Let's get this started.

Awesome! How do you get weather overlays normally?

BTW, some of the pics wouldn't load. Probably a lot of people looking at it right now!

Bump. Guess what? Your link actually enabled polygons in the non-premium version of Google Earth. Atlanta's skyline looks pretty neat!

Google Earth is useless :|

Fixed for clarity

Ah! Ah! It's already proven useful for me: I got an aerial photograph of an intersection where I had an accident and needed to prove that the markings showed the the other driver was driving illegally. Since the incident, the entire lane has been removed due to construction and the traffic flow has been altered so I can not get a picture of the intersection in-person. I WILL be using Google Earth in court and it has already proven to be a valuable asset.
